A history written by an unknown member of the Townes family based on a 1916 letter (lower document) from another familty member. It appears that both were grandchildren of Armistead Terrell Townes. The letter contaions some dryly humourous observations and may have been written by a son or daughter of Martha Allen Townes Fisher, who was a daughter of Armistead.
