There were numerous Breedens in that section of Virginia. Muriel Pearce Townes's grandmother was Vernella (Nell) Breeden who married Leroy Acree, who were parents of Muriel's mother Nell Acree. Vernella's parents were Robert Oliver Breeden and Octavia Richardson. Robert's father is believed to be Horace Breeden, but more research is required.
