Biography

Died, at his residence in Brunswick County, NC, on the morning of November 2, Samuel Frink, Sr., aged 76 years, 2 months and 1 day. In him, his afflicted children have lost the kindest, the tenderest of parents; the community mourns for a citizen most useful in his day and generation; and the widow and orphan cry aloud for the friend whose benefits descended on them as quietly and as unostentatiously as fall the dews of night. He showed his "faith by his works."

Published in the Fayetteville Observer, November 24, 1862.
