Biography

John spent the majority of his reign in England. The country was torn apart by inflation and High taxes. The lords of the land appealed to John for reform and the Magna Carta was signed, but to John this was simply a delaying tactic. Civil war broke out with the Lords attempting to oust John in favour of the French Kings' son, Louis. John died in the middle of the civil war and the country was ruled by a minority which was soon able to win the war and reunite the country whilst it waited for King Henry to come of age.
